The rules for using LA Rank
Last Updated: November 04, 2026
LA Rank is a directory. Members add their websites, we measure the traffic those websites really receive, and the sites with the most traffic sit at the top of their category. These terms are the deal between you and us. They are written to be read, not to hide things.
By creating an account, adding a listing or logging a deposit, you agree to what follows. If you do not agree with any part of it, please do not use the site.
Third-party sites and listings
LA Rank is a directory. We list websites and rank them by measured traffic. We do not operate, endorse, or control any site listed on the platform.
If you visit a listed site and lose money, sign up for a scam, experience a bad service, or have any other negative outcome, that is between you and the site. LA Rank is not a party to any transaction, agreement, or dispute you have with a listed site.
Listings are submitted by site owners or discovered by our team. While we review submissions, we cannot guarantee that every listed site is safe, honest, or legal in your jurisdiction. Use your own judgment before signing up for anything or sending money.
Listings in the Crypto Exchanges category include platforms where users may trade volatile digital assets. Trading and holding cryptocurrency carries substantial risk of loss, including total loss of funds. LA Rank does not operate, endorse, or guarantee any exchange, and is not responsible for any losses, hacks, regulatory actions, or disputes arising from your use of a listed exchange.
If you believe a listed site is fraudulent or breaks our rules, report it through our support page and we will review it.
1. Who can use LA Rank
- You must be old enough to agree to a contract where you live. If you are under 18, you need a parent or guardian to agree on your behalf.
- You need one account per person or business. Do not create extra accounts to add the same website twice, to vote for yourself from a "second" account, or to get around a suspension.
- You must give us an email address you can actually receive mail at, so we can send you the things you need to hear (a verification link, a rejection, a password reset).
- You are responsible for everything that happens through your account, including keeping your password to yourself.
2. What you can list
- Websites you own or represent. You must be able to prove it: the wizard offers a meta tag, a DNS record or a small text file, and you pick whichever is easiest. Do not list a site you have no right to list, and do not list a competitor's site to make it look bad.
- Claiming a listing that is already here. If your site was added before you arrived, use the claim flow on its listing page. You place the token we give you (meta tag, DNS record or file), we check it, and the listing moves to your account with its traffic history intact. A claim is refused when the proof does not match, and the same listing cannot be claimed twice.
- One website, one listing, one category. The category is how you get ranked, so choose the one that really fits. Tags are only there to help people find you.
- Sites that actually work. Someone has to be able to open it, and it has to stay open. A listing that is offline, broken or parked is not a website anyone can visit, and it may be removed.
- Honest details. The title, description and banner should describe the site you are adding. Do not stuff it with keywords or another company's brand.
3. What you cannot list
- Spam and junk. Auto-generated pages, doorway pages, sites made only to hold ads, and link farms are not welcome.
- Adult content of any kind, whether it is the main product or a side section.
- Illegal content. Anything that breaks the law where you are or where we are: piracy, drugs, weapons, stolen data, malware, scams, "free money" schemes, phishing, or sites that install things on a visitor's machine without asking.
- Sites you do not have the right to list, including your competitors' sites or any site you do not own or represent.
- Sites that mislead visitors. Fake download buttons, forced redirects, pop-under traps, fake surveys.
- Fake traffic. Do not buy hits, use bots, refresh your own pages in a loop, use a proxy pool, or add the tracking snippet to pages other than the site you listed. Traffic is the thing being measured; faking it is the one thing that gets a listing removed for good.
- Automated form submissions. The support form is for people. Do not use it to send bulk mail, advertising, scripts or the same message over and over. It is rate-limited, every submission keeps the sender's IP address, and repeat offenders are blocked at the server.
4. How the ranking works
- Traffic decides. Your position is worked out from the verified traffic your listing collects, together with upvotes and other signals such as reviews. A listing that gets more real visitors climbs; one that stops getting them slides back down.
- Clicks are counted once. When a visitor leaves for your site through a listing's Visit button, the click is recorded against that listing. One IP counts once inside the cooldown window, so refreshing does not inflate the number. The listing page always says whether clicks or tracked visits are the signal currently carrying the most weight.
- Measured by the week. Each week starts fresh, so a good week does not keep you at the top forever and a bad week does not bury you permanently. Each month's top ten is archived into the Hall of Fame and stays there.
- We can change the formula. We tune how much each signal is worth as the directory grows. When we change it, the change applies to every listing at the same time. We do not promise a specific position, a specific score or a specific amount of traffic - nobody can promise that.
- We can remove a listing that cheats, breaks these rules or hurts the directory. A person reviews every flag before a listing is suspended, and you can always ask us to take another look.
5. Deposits are final
- Money you send in is not refundable. A deposit is confirmed by hand: you send the payment, you log it on your wallet page with the reference, and a member of our team checks it against what actually arrived before your balance moves.
- If we cannot match your payment, it is not credited. Log it again with the correct reference, or send us proof through the support form and we will look again.
- Cryptocurrency you send to the wrong address, or on the wrong network, cannot be recovered. There is no way for us to reach into a blockchain and pull it back. Double-check the address before you send.
- Once a confirmed deposit has been spent on something on the platform, there is nothing left to refund.
6. Money goes in, not out
- There are no payouts. This is not an investment, a savings account or a way to earn money. The platform never sends money back to members.
- Your balance is credit you spend on platform features. It is not a bank balance, it does not earn interest, and it cannot be transferred to another member or exchanged for cash.
- Paid extras are added as they are built. Anything you pay for is delivered inside the platform: extra visibility, badges, upgrades and similar.
7. Other people's websites
- We list websites and we count their visitors. We do not run them, we do not write them and we do not control what they show.
- When you click through to a listed site, you are leaving LA Rank. Whatever happens there - the content, the downloads, the purchases, the promises - is between you and that website. We are not responsible for it.
- The same works the other way around. Your visitors are your visitors, and what happens on your site is your responsibility, not ours.
- If a listed site is dangerous, illegal or simply wrong, tell us through the contact page and we will look at the listing.
8. Suspension and closing accounts
- You can close your account whenever you like, from your profile page. Deleting it removes your account and your listings.
- We can suspend or close an account, or take a listing down, if these terms are broken: fake traffic, listings that are not yours, illegal or adult content, abuse aimed at other members, attempts to break or overload the platform, or using the service to harm someone.
- For anything serious we may act immediately. For anything ordinary, we will usually pause the listing and give you the reason first, so you can put it right.
- Buying traffic or votes is the fastest way to lose an account here, and a balance left on an account closed for cheating is not refunded.
9. Changes to these terms
- These terms will change as the platform grows. The date at the top of this page always shows when they last changed.
- If a change matters - a new fee, a new rule, a different way of ranking - we will email members about it before it takes effect.
- Carrying on using LA Rank after a change means you accept the new version. If you do not, you can close your account.
10. Questions, complaints and how to reach us
Use the support form and your message comes to a real person. Tell us what happened, which listing or account it is about, and what you would like us to do. Every message is stored in our inbox, so nothing is lost if an email bounces, and we would much rather hear about a problem early than read about it somewhere else later.
